The installation of the VOLNA art group is composed of twenty-seven glass plates mounted on a arcuate steel frame. Positioned in a panoramic point, the viewer looks through the glass which, thanks to a custom build device powered by a solar panel, continuously changes its opacity. The artists want to recreate the feeling of what we feel when we "immerse ourselves" and, guided by an emotional torch, we always focus on just a few elements, while others remain blurred.

Some images of our memories will be very familiar, but not necessarily clean images with clear visual boundaries. In the memories of familiar places or childhood experiences both ethereal and photographic images, as well as images with indefinite contours appear in our memory. The work is therefore an attempt to give a visual form to the Heimat concept: it is something fleeting, complex and blurred, i.e., not fully graspable, which necessarily remains undetermined, "Vague".

L'installazione del gruppo artistico VOLNA è composta da ventisette dischi di vetro appesi ad un semicerchio di acciaio. Posizionato in un punto panoramico, lo spettatore guarda attraverso i vetri che, grazie a un dispositivo alimentato da un pannello solare, cambiano continuamente la loro opacità/trasparenza. Gli artisti vogliono ricreare il sentimento di cosa proviamo quando ci "immergiamo in noi stessi" e, guidati da una torcia emotiva, focalizziamo sempre solo alcuni elementi, mentre altri rimangono nell’oscurità.

Certe immagini dei nostri ricordi saranno molto vertraut – familiari, ma non per forza esse sono immagini nitide e dai confini visuali chiari. Nei ricordi di luoghi familiari oppure di esperienze d'infanzia compaiono nella nostra memoria sia immagini eidetiche e fotografiche che immagini con i contorni indefiniti.

L’opera è dunque un tentativo di dare una forma visiva al concetto Heimat: esso è qualcosa di fugace, complesso e sfocato, ovvero, non carpibile nella sua totalità, la quale necessariamente rimane indeterminata, “Vague”.

Die Installation der Künstlergruppe VOLNA besteht aus 27 Glasscheiben, die an einem halbkreisförmigen Stahlgerüst aufgehängt sind. Von seinem Aussichtspunkt blickt der Betrachter durch das Glas mit kontinuierlich changierender Opazität/Durchsichtigkeit, mithilfe einer von einem Solarpaneel gespeisten Vorrichtung. Die Künstler wollen das Gefühl dessen wiedergeben, was wir fühlen, wenn wir "in uns eintauchen" und geleitet von einer emotionalen Fackel immer nur wenige Elemente fokussieren, während andere ausgeblendet werden.

Gewisse Bilder unserer Erinnerungen mögen sehr vertraut sein, sind aber nicht unbedingt klare Bilder mit scharfen visuellen Umrissen. In den Erinnerungen an vertraute Orte oder Kindheitserfahrungen erscheinen in unserem Gedächtnis sowohl eidetische als auch fotografische Bilder sowie Bilder mit unbestimmten Konturen.

Diese Arbeit ist daher der Versuch, dem Heimatkonzept eine visuelle Form zu geben: ist es doch etwas Flüchtiges, Komplexes und Unscharfes, d.h. nicht vollständig Greifbares, das gezwungenermaßen unbestimmt, "vag(u)e" bleibt.

Fanes - Addentrandoci nella malga del Fanes, che si estende amena fra imponenti massicci, si respirano appieno i miti ladini, ambientati proprio su queste alture. Mirabolanti formazioni rocciose rivelano sorprendenti antropomorfismi al viandante curioso. Una sosta nel parlamento delle marmotte gli permetterà di assistere alle discussioni di questi animali totemici per l’antico regno del Fanes, del quale si sta tuttora aspettando la rinascita.

Fanes -  Bei Vorstoßen in die Fanes-Alm, die sich anmutig erstreckt zwischen eindrucksvollen Gebirgsmassiven, kann man die eben auf diesen Höhen vorhandenen ladinischen Mythen vollauf fühlen. Erstaunliche Felsformationen offenbaren dem neugierigen Reisenden überraschende Anthropomorphismen. Eine Rast beim Parlament der Murmeltiere ermöglicht es ihm, den Diskussionen dieser totemischen Tiere über das antike Reich der Fanes beizuwohnen, auf dessen Wiedergeburt man noch immer wartet.
