We are pleased to invite you to the concert of the Haydn Foundation String Quartet, which will be held on August 25, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Val dl’Ert. The performance will last approximately 45 minutes and is free of charge.

F. J. Haydn: String Quartet No. 63 in D major, "The Lark"
W. A. Mozart: String Quartet No. 3 in G major

Location of the Concert: The event is taking place at La Val dl’Ert, near the work "Ciasa" by Conor McNelly. To reach the area, you can either start from the official entrance to the valley near the Museum Ladin, or from the San Martin center or the sports field, and follow the Mirì road until you reach the gravel road leading to part 4 of the park (in both cases, it’s a 30-40 minute walk). It is recommended to bring a water bottle with you because there are no water sources along the route. Another option is to drive up to this location (46°41'07.2"N 11°53'09.9"E Strada Mirì, 39030 San Martino in Badia BZ) and park, making sure to leave the way clear for other cars. After the concert, we invite you to the screening of the film "Tár," which will take place at the Museum Ladin San Martin de Tor at 8:30 PM.
Film Synopsis:
"Tár" is a musical drama that follows the life of Lydia Tár, one of the most prominent conductors of our time, whose career and personal life begin to unravel under the weight of her ambitions and external pressures. The story explores the delicate balance between artistic genius and its consequences, highlighting the challenges and complexities that accompany power and fame. Through Tár's career, the film offers a deep reflection on themes of control, responsibility, and personal sacrifice in the name of art.
